Are u out of your mind, or was that you that Reggie powers slammed on his head. Mojave returns 8 PLACERS and 2 more that qualified and missed placing by 1 match. Do you think they are just going to sit back and let the other schools pass them up. I can't speak for anybody else, but my son will be off this week, then he hits the weights next week and we'll be at a tournament the first week of March, and Reno worlds(we won the team title there last year too) to start our summer season.

that was funny! In reality though, I dont think Powers has any need to slam anyone on their head. Having never seen him before, I will say that I thought he was quite a classy young man, his statement about the team title meaning more to him etc ,, Congratulations on a great win!

Mohave will be tough to beat next year with that lineup. I would say the team that will make a run at a team title. Damonte Ranch. They are only losing one kid, Moon. There only weekness I can see for next year will be at 215 and heavies. The current 215 lbder will move back down to 189 where he should be. He will be tough there next year. Potential champs 103-oniel 119 oniel 140-145 Frank 152- Edmonds 189-Belardes (spelling?) They have several other kids are pontential placers.

I agree Damonte will make a strong showing next year. They should be second in state which is pretty good considering how young they are. Keep in mind Mojave has placers returning at each of the weight classes you mention plus FOUR more, that's why I think Mojave will outscore their opponents, wire to wire. I was real impressed with Damonte's coach. He appears to put alot of time into the program and his kids respond real well to his style. One last "observation" was that the North "teams" seemed more equal in talent. About four schools had 3 or four real good kids, then the talent dropped off, that is, as far as being competitive at the State level.
