Cimarron did have the return of three time returning State Champ Randle Aleman, at 152 lbs. Aleman is back from a knee surgery that took place in October to repair damage from a football injury. The referee sure did take his time on calling some of the pins, I mean a long time to call the fall on several occasions. The regionals are going to be quite interesting next month.

Interesting? Try a heated battle. Cimarron might have turned a corner last night and I think that Mojave and Palo should be a little nervous. However, the win was a close one and either team could have pulled it out. A couple of Spartans that have showed improvement are; Brogan, 135, and Harris, 125. They could be deciding factors in regionals.

Great dual meet. Two tough hard nosed teams went at it. Great for the fans. The keys were as follows:
Glen Terrano was only able to manage a major decision over Rick Bass. Suarez majored Chris Terrano. Brogan Ashjian gets a pin when he was down 3-1 when he hit the move to pin Hutchison. HUGE turning point in dual. Randel majoring Educate with last second TD. St. Clair Majoring Robertson with all TD's. Spencer wrestling smart and winning tough match.
As far as Palo and Mojave being scared. I seriously doubt it. They both knew the Spartans would be coming on strong. The Mojave guys will admit (and have admitted) in a heartbeat they would have trouble against CM in a tournament. They could probably still beat them in a dual meet, but a 8/9 man tournament is a different thing. It is definitely going to be the most intersting stretch run in awhile.
